As a result of the Turkish invasion in Cyprus, we have the tragic humanitarian problem of missing people.  Some 1474 persons, military personnel and civilians, including women and children were either captured by the invading Turkish armed forces during July-August 1974, or disappeared long after the cessation of hostilities in the areas under the control of the Turkish army. 

Massari village has registered four missing people:  Savvas Hadjisavva 60years old, Hadjieleni Hadjilouka 70 years old, Styllou Christofi and Christallou Symeou.
